Since 10 June 2022, foreign tourists can enter Japan if they bought a package tour organized by authorized travel agent in Japan. The package tour must be accompanied by licensed tour escort from the arrival and till the departure.
Then, this travel agent will register the tourists on the national registration site for entering Japan and obtain a special code for these tourists to apply their visas, which take up to 5 working days at the embassy or consulate of Japan. Visa application is free of charge.
