One of the Japan's three scenic views. Amanohashidate is a shoal, sandbar in Miyazu bay in Miyazu city, located in northern Kyoto prefecture. It is the second most popular destination in Kyoto prefecture after Kyoto city. In 2013, 1.78 million tourist visited this famous sandbar.

Osaka, the most populous city in Japan has one of most popular aquariums in Japan, Kaiyukan aquarium.

Winter
Probably the best time to visit Kyoto is in winter. It is less crowded than in spring and autumn, when many Japanese students come for school trip. Then, summer is humid and hot. Kyoto Railway Museum is must place to visit for train lovers.
