Chubu region is the largest region in Japan, which means there are many tourist attractions in the region. Then, probably one of the top destinations in the region is Kanazawa, which has one of the three beautiful gardens in Japan.

Nagano is one of the largest prefectures, which means there are many tourist attractions. Nagano prefecture is not only the host of 1998 Winter Olympic Games but also there is one of famous temples in Japan, Zenko-ji temple.

There are many castles in Japan but actually not so many original tenshu exist. Inuyama castle is one of the five original tenshu which are listed as national treasure.

Winter
Rival of Kanazawa in the region is city of Takayama, known as Hida-Takayama to Japanese. Takayama is a core city of Hida district of Gifu prefecture, which is also not far away from UNESCO World Heritage, Shirakawago.
